How this policy applies

Plain-language scope

These terms apply to the Slicer3DLab website, accounts, quote requests, and any custom work later accepted in writing.

A job-specific accepted quote can add or vary operational details such as scope, price, timing, revisions, payment, pickup, or delivery.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

About Slicer3DLab

Slicer3DLab is a Brisbane, Queensland-based custom 3D printing business operating under ABN 88 566 893 419. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Slicer3DLab.

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@slicer3dlab.au or through the contact page.

Using the website and your account

  • Use the website lawfully and provide current, accurate information when creating an account or submitting a request.
  • Keep your login credentials and devices secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • You must not interfere with the website, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, scrape private data, impersonate another person, or use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
  • The account service is intended for adults and for young people using it with a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility for the activity.

Quote requests and contract formation

  • Website content and a submitted quote request are invitations to discuss a possible job; they do not guarantee that every design, material, deadline, quantity, or use case can be accepted.
  • Slicer3DLab may ask questions, decline a request, recommend a different approach, or issue a revised quote after reviewing feasibility, scope, material, price, timing, and production constraints.
  • An approximate budget is optional planning context only. It does not set, cap, or automatically calculate the final quote.
  • Approving a published quote in My Account records agreement to that quote version. It does not by itself take payment, start production, create a trusted order, or create an invoice.
  • A binding agreement to supply a job is formed only when Slicer3DLab confirms acceptance and any commencement conditions stated in the quote or later written confirmation are met.

Price, GST, and documents

Slicer3DLab operates under ABN 88 566 893 419. Unless a quote says otherwise, amounts are in Australian dollars.

Slicer3DLab is not currently registered for GST. No GST has been charged, and the total shown is the final amount payable.

A future payment document backed by a trusted order and payment record will use the heading “Invoice”. Quote approval does not create that document.

A quote may have an expiry date. If scope, quantity, material, design complexity, delivery requirement, or another relevant fact changes, Slicer3DLab may provide a revised quote before accepting the job.

Customer-supplied content and intellectual property

  • You must have the right to use every name, logo, trademark, artwork, image, model, file, photo, sketch, or reference you provide and to authorise its use for the requested work.
  • Do not submit unlawful, infringing, dangerous, malicious, confidential, or unnecessary sensitive content.
  • You retain rights in content you own. You give Slicer3DLab limited permission to review, adapt where agreed, quote, manufacture, communicate about, and support the requested job.
  • Slicer3DLab may decline content or a requested use that appears unlawful, unsafe, infringing, outside our capability, or inconsistent with these terms.

Proofs, revisions, and customer approval

  • Custom work may require clarification, design preparation, proofing, or revised scope before production.
  • Check spelling, names, dates, dimensions, quantities, colours, material, use case, and other proof details carefully before approval.
  • Changes after approval can affect price and timing and may require a revised quote. Any stated revision limit or design charge in the accepted quote applies to that job.
  • Slicer3DLab remains responsible for supplying the agreed product or service with the care, skill, and quality required by law.

3D-printing variation and use limits

  • Layer lines, support marks, seam lines, small surface differences, colour variation between batches or screens, and reasonable dimensional tolerances are normal characteristics of 3D printing unless a written specification says otherwise.
  • A digital render or screen colour is a guide and may not exactly represent the finished surface or colour.
  • Material guidance depends on the disclosed use case and can change after review.
  • Food contact suitability, toy certification, child safety, outdoor durability, watertightness, heat resistance, electrical safety, structural performance, and load-bearing performance are not promised unless the specific requirement is reviewed and confirmed in writing.

Production, payment, shipping, and pickup

The current website does not run checkout or collect payment. Any deposit, payment method, production commencement, shipping, delivery, or pickup arrangement must be confirmed in the accepted quote or later written confirmation.

The Shipping Policy explains the current quote-specific approach to production, dispatch, carrier estimates, damaged or missing parcels, and appointment-only pickup.

Cancellations, returns, and consumer guarantees

  • Custom work is not automatically cancellable for change of mind after job-specific design preparation, material ordering, printing, or post-processing starts.
  • The Refund Policy explains change-of-mind requests, customer-supplied errors, inspection, return costs, reprints, repairs, replacements, and refunds.
  • Products and services may come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms do not remove non-excludable rights or remedies.
  • Where a consumer guarantee is not met, the available remedy depends on the product or service and whether the problem is major or minor.

Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate spelling, dimensions, quantities, deadlines, use-case details, contact details, delivery information, and approval decisions.
  • Respond to reasonable clarification or proofing questions in time for an agreed deadline.
  • Use a product only for the reviewed purpose and ask before using it in a safety-sensitive, outdoor, child-handled, food-contact, wet, hot, electrical, structural, or high-wear setting.
  • Follow reasonable care, handling, and installation guidance supplied for the job.

Website content, availability, and third parties

  • We try to keep website and quote information accurate, but may correct a genuine error or omission before accepting a job. We will not use this right to unilaterally change an already agreed job without a lawful basis or the customer's agreement.
  • The website may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider failure, or events outside reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted access.
  • Third-party links and provider services have their own terms and privacy practices. Slicer3DLab remains responsible for its own obligations and does not use a third party to avoid a responsibility that the law places on us.
  • The website design, brand, original copy, and Slicer3DLab-created assets remain ours or our licensors' and may not be commercially copied without permission, except where the law permits.

Liability and non-excludable rights

To the extent the law permits, each party is responsible for loss that is reasonably caused by its breach, negligence, unlawful conduct, or failure to follow an agreed responsibility. We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies the Australian Consumer Law, an applicable consumer guarantee, or any other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains the information collected through the website, accounts, quotes, and support workflow, how it is used and disclosed, provider processing, retention, security, access and correction requests, and complaints.

Changes to these terms

We may update these website terms when the service or law changes. The date at the top shows the current version.

An update does not retrospectively change an already accepted job-specific agreement unless required by law or agreed in writing. The terms and quote applying when a job is accepted remain relevant to that job.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Queensland.

If a concern arises, contact hello@slicer3dlab.au first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have rights to contact Queensland Office of Fair Trading, the ACCC, another regulator, a tribunal, or a court.
